YOUTH LEAGUE INFORMATION:

Hi all, for those of you who don't know me, I'm Kitty - Youth director, local darter, newbie and (sometimes) a pain in the butt. Nonetheless, it is that time of the season to rally for my youth darters and this time around I have discovered that Charlotte has youth dart throwers that want to shoot darts. (I know - it's amazing).

Steamer's has been kind enough to allow me to use their back section for Saturday youth dart youth. It would start off every other Saturday from 12-2 and it will be starting shortly. I already have 6 kids VERY anxious for it to start and I wanted to send an email out to the other league darters to see if there are youth darters (age 8 to 16) who want to be on a youth league and hopefully even try-out in the Regional (in late May) and possibly qualify for the Nationals.

The league is set to start-up by November 5th and will run through July 15th (these are approx dates) but wanted to give you an idea of the time-line. The cost for each shooter will be (approximately) $10 per youth (I can't determine final costs until I know how many darters and I get a proposition presented to the board) -ALL funds will go towards the ADO fees for them to shoot and the balance would go into the Youth Fund to send qualifiers to the Nationals.

Charlotte was able to send 4 youths from our Region this past National, and 3 of them were from right here in Charlotte - that was awesome and we couldn't have sent any without the huge response from the league dart shooters and the parents who relieved that their kids wanted to play and have fun.
